The Saskatchewan non-profit organization, Junior Achievement (JA) Saskatchewan, has canceled its programming and laid-off employees.

Junior Achievement is a program that helps teach young people about business and business practices.

The programs were pulled after an important donor pulled funding from the program just over a year ago. Since then, Junior Achievement Saskatchewan has been trying to stabilize their financial situation.

However, despite Junior Achievement Saskatchewan pulling its programs, Entrepreneurship 30 teacher Margot Arnold says nothing will change in her classroom and all the programs will remain the same.

"What I do in my classroom in program delivery. Nothing will change in that regard.", Arnold said. "So JA Saskatchewan is a separate entity from JA Canada. JA Canada has taken over all programming in the province."

Arnold adds that she is very fortunate to be able to offer these programs in Saskatchewan.

The program sent three Weyburn teens to Calgary early last spring. You can find a link to the article here.
