Troy Glaus' double in the top of the 12 drove in the winning run in Toronto's 6-2 win in Oakland.

 

The Jays went on to score 3 more times in the top of the 12, to move back above the .500 mark on the season.

Toronto has also closed their gap in the American Laegue Wildcard, the Jays trail eattle by 8 games.

The Jays and A's will play the second of their 3 game set tonight in Oakland.

Meanwhile one of the Blue Birds will have surgery on his injured wing.

Jays starting pitcher Gustavo Chacin will reportedly head to New York to have exploratory surgery on his left shoulder.

Chacin has been on the disabled list since late April.
