The latest COVID-19 update from the province shows a slight rise in hospitalizations in Saskatchewan.

As of April 20, there were 417 people hospitalized due to COVID-19. This is up from the 403 people who were in hospital on April 13.

There were 25 patients in the ICU due to COVID as of April 20, the same number as the last report.

The weekly test positivity rate is now at 11.7 per cent, down from 13 per cent the week before.

The number of new confirmed cases also dropped and is now at 890.

From April 10-16, there were 22 newly reported COVID-19 deaths, which was more than the previous week.

There were also 18 confirmed outbreaks at long-term care centres.
