Although Linda Rudachyk no longer lives in Weyburn, she is well known as the the former executive director and founder of the Family Place, and as a volunteer in the community. 

She was given the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal, alongside 69 other recipients in Regina on Tuesday, including her sister, Betty.  

Rudachyk continues volunteering in her new home of Rosthern, and was even nominated for this award by the Mayor of Rosthern for her work in the area.
