It's time to "Ring Those Phones!"

Telemiracle 41 goes this weekend, Saturday March 4th through Sunday March 5th, at TCU Place in Saskatoon.

The annual event kicks off at 9:00 p.m. Saturday night and wraps up 20 hours later at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Singer Beverley Mahood has been a mainstay on the telethon for the past 20 years.

"As soon as you get here, you know that everybody's excited about Telemiracle and they're looking forward to it," she said. "It's genuine, it's authentic and it's real."

By her side the past 20 years has been a local talent, Brad Johner, who performed on Telemiracle 5 with his brothers, all from Midale. This year he'll take to the stage with his sons.

"We've got another great fifty Saskatchewan talent acts that are coming up again this year from all over the province," said Johner. "That always amazes me because the talent is so great. I look forward to the Saskatchewan talent every year."

Some of the Saskatchewan talent is from here in the southeast, including Weyburn's own Autumn Alexander, who will be performing Sunday afternoon at 12:50.

"I chose to do a lyrical solo to the song "Grace",' said Alexander. "I feel like the song can relate to the cause, what we're donating money to, I feel like the people it's helping can relate to the song."

Alexander added that she has watched Telemiracle throughout the years and was encouraged by her mother to audition this year. Alexander and her family have raised over $1800 for Telemiracle so far, a total that will be matched by PotashCorp. Anyone wanting to donate ahead of her performance is encouraged to email m.alexander@sasktel.net or text (306) 861-3131.

As well, Encore Musical Theatre & Company, made up of 24 students between the ages of 4 and 14 from Fillmore and Stoughton, will be performing to Rachel Platten's "Stand By You". They take to the stage around 3:30 Sunday afternoon.
