It was meet the teacher night at Legacy Park Elementary School, giving students, along with their parents, and even their siblings, a chance to check out the school and, of course, meet the teachers.

Principal Arlene Dobson said it was nice to see everyone back in the building together.

"Well, last year we got to see a bit of that starting in March, and were able to have families in, but to start a school year off with families coming in, and all of us starting it together, is just so wonderful."

This is only the second school year at LPES, but it was the first without government restrictions in place.

"After our first year being together, the kids came back knowing where they were going, all of the routines and procedures were set, and so it was almost like we never left in June," she shared. "It's just so good to have everybody back."

kStudents enjoyed a smart board, several of which are located throughout the school.
