A full summer of activities can be enjoyed at Mainprize Regional Park.

"Typically, August has been our slowest month for the park," noted General Manager Michelle Walsh. "We try and do most of our events in June and July, but now we are trying to play to some of our local area members. With gas being so expensive, we want everyone to come out and enjoy the park."

Walsh said the Canada Day event was a huge success.

"With all the activities we had going on, between the parade and the bouncy castles,  and then we also had our local annual ball tournament that we always throw in the park. So there was lots of things different things for families to do oh, and we were quite busy. I mean the weather helps, but it's been good."
