It's time to register to have a float in the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce's annual Summer Parade, which is scheduled for June 30th at 10:30 a.m.

"I mean, who doesn't love a parade, right?" commented Executive Director Larry Heggs. "At the end of the day this year we've got even more excitement going on, because the same day as the parade is the day of the Young Fellows concert, and we've asked them as a Chamber of Commerce to actually marshall the parade. For the Young Fellows to be able to lead the parade down the streets, just to showcase that 100 years of community service that they've put forward to Weyburn."

Heggs noted the parade is also, "just a great opportunity for people to showcase their businesses, have a little bit of fun, see some people downtown run into maybe some people you haven't seen for a little while, and just have those conversations."

Heggs says it's free for all to register.

"You don't have to be a Chamber member," he said. "We encourage all businesses, all organizations, to come out and just be a part of it, and to just celebrate the community, and celebrate and kick off summer."
