Several of the students from Marley's Dance Effex are eagerly anticipating their upcoming performance at Disney Land. Weyburn's representation promises to be a highlight as the students prepare to showcase their dance skills on Main Street U.S.A. later this month.
“About 21 students and I are traveling to Disneyland and we're going to be dancing down Main Street USA. The dancers have been practicing for a couple months and they get to learn a routine that Disney provides and then we head there, and we get to dance down Main Street and show off our stuff,” said Marley Brown, Director/Owner of Marley’s Dance Effex.
Marley shared that this will be the school’s third trip to Disney Land, it’s a program she offers every three to four years.
The three-day event will kick off Friday, November 17 where the dancers will take part in a dance workshop provided by one of the Disney performers. Saturday, November 18 is the big day when the dancers will showcase their work down Main Street U.S.A., and on Sunday the event will wrap up with a celebration recognizing the dancers' dedication and hard work.
