It was a huge success for the Weyburn Young Fellows' annual Comedy Night fundraiser, held over two events in November.

Club Secretary and Comedy Night Project Chair Shane Warner said the double-double feature, two performers and two shows, was due to not being able to host it since 2019.

“Everything came together really nicely, and tickets sold out really quickly, which was nice to see,” Warner shared. “We we sold out both nights. We had a total of 480 people in attendance over the two nights at the Legion.”

Both Jen Grant and Quick Dick McDick performed.

“Normally we would only have one comedian, but it still happened that we'd carried one over and with the two acts,” he said.

“The show went really well and feedback has been really positive and there was something there for everybody,” he noted. “The event itself was a success.”

“Every dollar is will go back into the community.”

“I would just like to say thanks to the community for the support,” added Warner. “It was really well-received and we appreciate that.”

For their support he thanked Bandits Distilling, as well as the Weyburn Canalta for comping the rooms for the talent.
