The Ogema Pool will be opening soon, as their re-build is nearing completion.
"You know things are looking really good for this weekend coming up here, we're doing a soft opening," said Kyle Leonard, Chair of the Ogema Regional Park Authority. "We're hoping Friday, that's our date right now, weather permitting."
He said they're excited that the new pool features a beach entry.
"They've become really popular as of late, and it's great for small kids to play in, in the shallow end, or folks who may have mobility issues, are able to just walk right into the pool without having to worry about stairs," Leonard noted. "There's lots of room to lounge around the pool."
For those who like to lounge on the grass, he said next week they'll be installing the new turf.
Hours of operation are 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., and swimming lessons will commence next week.
