A favourite event will be taking place on Saturday, August 5th at Nickle Lake Regional Park. Nickle Lake Day kicks off with a free pancake breakfast from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., followed by a Show & Shine Car Show at 10:00 a.m.

Kids Activities will run from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., and will include bouncy houses, face painting, and crafts.

They'll have a trade show from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and they are still signing up vendors. Anyone who would like to get involved can contact Charlene Steinke or Michelle Warken via Facebook Messenger.

The big day will also feature live music beginning in the afternoon at 1:30, going until 10:00 p.m., sponsored by Quality Plumbing & Heating. Beginning at 2:00 p.m., Doug Schaefer and friends will take the stage, followed by Dale Degenstein and Colleen Butz at 3:30, then at 5:00 Two Stepps will perform, and capping off the night will be the Steep Hill Ramblers at 7:00 p.m.

With the Beverage Gardens going from 12:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m., Safe Rides available as well for those who need a ride back into Weyburn.

According to event planner Ronalee Larson, the Safe Rides will shuttle people around the park, "as the park has gotten bigger. The cell number is posted and the drivers schedule the pickups and drop-offs. The drivers will drive your personal vehicle back home, too."

The shuttle van is provided by Barber Motors, with drivers provided by Another Round Bar & Grill.
