Saskatchewan has the lowest unemployment rate in the country and our Member of Parliament is weighing in with his thoughts.

(Souris Moose Mountain MP Ed Komarnicki)

Souris-Moose Mountain MP Ed Komarnicki, "There's no doubt in Souris Moose Mountain and the province, in fact in the country they've had 24,700 net new jobs in the month of May. That has to be good news. It's five straight months of job gains, eight of the last ten months have resulted in 310 new jobs, you know we've been protecting jobs, preserving jobs, but now I think we're seeing the economy take hold and actually jobs are being created, the unemployment rate is going down somewhat. We're headed in the right direction."

Saskatchewan's unemployment rate was at 5% in May, well below the national average of 8.1%. Komarnicki is pleased to see the number of full time jobs filling up in the province.
