The Pangman Peaches are the Borderline Ladies Fastball League champions after a thrilling tournament on the weekend in Fillmore. The Peaches beat the defending champions, the Weyburn White Lightning, 10-7 to claim the title.

The playoff bracket started late Saturday, with the Weyburn Queen Bees taking on the Fillmore Foxes. The Queen Bees were second in their pool after the round robin, the Foxes third in theirs. The Foxes would take the high-scoring affair with a 23-18 final.

In the other knockout game was the Weyburn Shehawks, who were ranked second in their pool, versus the Peaches, who were third in theirs. The Peaches would edge past the Shehawks to take the game 13-12.

Sunday morning, the semi-finals were played. The Weyburn White Lightning, who were first in Pool A after the round robin early Saturday, took on the Foxes. The White Lightning got past the hosts for the tournament 10-9. In the other semi-final, it was the Ceylon Devils, who was first in Pool B after the round robin, against Pangman. The Peaches would rally and come out on top, winning 15-8, setting up the final game.

The tournament MVP was Rhonda Verbeurgt from the White Lightning, and the top pitcher was Dawn Gutzke, also from the White Lightning.
