It's an ongoing issue in Canadian Democracy...voter turnout amongst young people.

Premier Brad Wall has been busy visiting schools throughout the province, asking for their ideas about how to get more young people involved in the electoral process saying it's up to the politicians to go out and listen to the young people to find out why they don't vote and what they can do about it to get them more involved in politics.

Wall says todays high-school students will be first-time voters in the 2011 provincial election.

In the 2004 federal election, about 38% of voters from the ages of 18-21 cast a ballot.
