The recent storms are delivering mixed results for prairie farmers.

Canadian Wheat Board Weather and Market Analyst Bruce Burnett says the northern growing areas that needed rain got it, but other areas got that rain with hail and high winds as well.

Burnett says the rain has been welcome but the winds and hail in the other parts of the province has slowed down crop development.

Burnett adding there could be some losses for the areas that received crop damage as a result of the storms, as crops rarely recover from significant hail damage in the latter growing stages.
