How about kicking off the summer with some rap/hip-hop music? The Weyburn Youth Centre welcomes Philly 5, an award-winning artist who has been featured on 100 Huntley Street, Nite Lite Live, and the CTV morning talk show, Canada AM.

“We want to bring in more kids, we have such a great center, and we just don't have the numbers that we should be having there. So, we're just calling all youth to come on out and check out our center,” said Susan Adderley, Board Member of the WYC.

The Christian rap and hip-hop artist will be lighting up the stage Friday, May 12.

The WYC is ensuring that ticket prices are more than affordable at just $5 each. Limited tickets are available, they can be purchased in advance at the Youth Centre on Friday evenings between 7 pm and 10 pm. More volunteers are needed to help for a few hours on Friday evenings.

Philly 5 also enjoyed performing at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games and the 2010 Sask Winter Games and is a three-time Covenant Award Nominee including winning Best Rap/Hip-Hop artist of the year. You can find a complete list of his music on Apple Music, Spotify, and iTunes. Here's a look at one of his videos, Swagger.
