Highway 33 northwest of Kronau was closed around 10:30 this morning due to a serious collision. The highway is closed in both directions with RCMP and STARS Air Ambulance on the scene.
The collision was one of a number of collisions the RCMP were responding to this morning. The westbound lanes of the TransCanada Highway were blocked near Belle Plaine, west of Regina, due to semis hitting the guardrails.
From midnight until 11:00 a.m. today, the RCMP received 36 reports of weather-related traffic issues across the province. This includes multiple collisions as well as vehicles getting stuck in ditches.
