July was a month of broken records.

The province set a new summertime power consumption high, in addition to some record-breaking temperatures.

Bob Cormier with Environment Canada says there were 3 or 4 days where new individual records high temperatures were set.

He adds July 24th, 29th and 30th were the most likely days where records were set.

According to Cormier, July had an average temperature of 22.2, compared to a normal of 19.5 degrees, which makes July 2007, the 5th hottest July on record in Saskatchewan's history.
