The Weyburn Salvation Army is holding its Back to School Backpack Program once again, and applications are being accepted.

The program aims to provide quality school supplies for low-income families in the community.

“To qualify that for that it's just anybody in the low-income bracket that is needing help for back to school,” said Shannon Fodchuk, Community Ministry Worker with the Salvation Army. “We would supply the backpack and the school supplies that are needed for their grade.”

She added Royal LePage Signature is sponsoring the program for the second year in a row.

“We're very grateful for them to help us with this to get all the kids that need back-to-school supplies set up.”

Those interested can register by calling the family Services Office at 306-842-2280 by August 12.
