Dustin Duncan was in Weyburn last night with his choice for the next Saskatchewan Party Leader and Premier of the Province.

Scott Moe, who has been MLA for Rosthern-Shellbrook since 2011, and now Candidate for Leader has travelled to around 100 communities of the province to meet with residents of Saskatchewan to share his vision and policy platform for the future.

"Just a really rewarding experience," answered Moe to the question, how has the campaign been going?

"I am now getting back to communities for the second time."

"It's been rewarding to experience people in each of these communities."

Moe spent time with residents of Weyburn and area sharing his vision but also answering questions.

Moe discussed his three-fold vision for Saskatchewan.

These three platform themes include a commitment to fiscal sustainability. This includes continuing with the three-year plan of the current Brad Wall government.

"The second platform theme is to invest in communities across the province."

Moe continued with the third platform theme.

"Our willingness to stand with Saskatchewan industry and our willingness to stand with our jobs here in the province."

Moe spent some time talking on how the province exports over $30 billion worth of products around the world each year and how the carbon tax will damage the profitability of the province without fixing the climate change problem.

"Climate change is a global challenge and it needs global solutions and quite frankly the world needs a little more of Saskatchewan's ingenuity and what Saskatchewan has to offer."

The provincial leadership candidate talked about carbon capture and storage, zero tillage technology and how zero tillage technologies are being sold to countries such as Kazakhstan to help them with their sequestration of carbon.

Moe discussed the quality of the debates so far.

"Some have said that everyone is perhaps too much in agreement."

Moe added that it is no surprise that there is so much agreement because they are all part of the same party. He added that there are some differences of opinion in the delivery of some of the policies.

"The debates, I think, have been a good opportunity for people not only to see a few what they might consider smaller differences between the campaigns but also an opportunity to get to know the candidates a little bit as well."

Alana Koch, Ken Chevelldayoff, Tina Beaudry-Mellor, Gord Wyant and Rob Clarke are the other candidates for the Sask Party Leadership.
