Six Big 6 Hockey League teams are still pursuing league championships, provincial titles, or, in the case of the Redvers Rockets, both.

The Rockets dropped their regular-season opener 5-2 to the Oxbow Huskies on November 4. Since then, they've won 24 games in a row across the regular season, league playoffs, and 'C' provincials.

Kenton Miller had four goals and two assists as Redvers beat the hosting Assiniboia Rebels 9-2 in provincials Sunday, sweeping the two-game series and clinching a trip to the Senior 'C' South Finals. They'll face the Kenaston Blizzard next. That series has yet to be scheduled.

In league playoffs, the Rockets are back in action in Yellow Grass on Wednesday looking to grab a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five semifinal. Redvers opened the series with a 7-2 win at home last Tuesday.

The Carlyle Cougars are another team representing the Big 6 in provincials.

Carlyle dropped a 4-1 decision in Grenfell against the Spitfires to open the best-of-three Senior 'B' South Final. Game 2 is scheduled for Carlyle Friday night. A rubber match would also be in Carlyle on Sunday afternoon.

The Cougars beat the Oxbow Huskies in two games in the 'B' semifinals.

The Carnduff Red Devils are the other team in provincials in the Big 6. Carnduff eliminated the Central Butte Flyers in Game 3 of their opening series on February 19, and is up 1-0 on the Theodore Buffalos in the Senior 'D' South Final. Carnduff will host Game 2 on Saturday, and would host a rubber match Sunday if necessary.

While Redvers and Yellow Grass duke it out on one side of the Big 6 Hockey League semifinals, the Moosomin Rangers have the Bienfait Coalers on the ropes.

Moosomin beat the hosting Coalers 6-5 in double overtime on Saturday night, thanks to a shorthanded goal by Bud Holloway. Moosomin opened the series with a 10-2 home win Friday.

The Rangers have been perfect through the postseason, having beaten Carlyle in two games in their quarterfinal. They did fall in three games to Grenfell in the provincial 'B' semifinals.

This isn't the first time the Coalers are facing elimination. They trailed the defending-champion Red Devils 1-0 in their opening-round best-of-three, before bouncing back with two consecutive wins.
