A physician in Estevan has had his license suspended, according to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.

Doctor Mehdi Horri had the suspension of his license go into effect yesterday.

Dr. Horri had previously had his license suspended in 2018 for an incident in Ontario, when he was said to have engaged in a sexual relationship with a patient too soon after the end of the doctor-patient relationship. He then had his license suspended in 2020 after a number of issues were brought up concerning unprofessional conduct.

There had been previous requirements on his license, including needing to have a chaperone present when treating female patients, and only being allowed to see patients in his clinic.

Dr. Horri has been in Estevan since 2012, but previously practiced medicine in Ontario.
