Legislators from across the province returned to Regina Monday for the spring session of the Legislature.

Dustin Duncan is the MLA for Weyburn-Big Muddy and is the Minister of Environment, and the Minister responsible for SaskPower.

“There are a number of pieces of legislation that are still outstanding, so we’ll hear and see some debate on those bills, but I think the budget will be the centrepiece for the spring session,” Duncan explained.

The provincial government is expected to deliver the budget on March 20th.

“Our position a couple of years ago was that we’d get back to a balanced budget by year three, and so this is the year that we’ll be in a position to be in a balanced position,” Duncan added.

The spring session is expected to wrap up on May 16th.
