Parents with children in cultural, recreational and sport activities could profit from an expanded tax benefit.

"We will be allowing up to $150 dollars worth of credits to be returned to the family for every child that is enrolled into programs."  explains Ken Krawetz, Finance Minister.

The Active Families was introduced in 2009 but only included children between the ages of 6 and 14.

The expansion includes all children under 18 years of age.
