This week began with a good amount of rainfall, and Weyburn received 16.5 millimetres of rain. We captured some photos of the sky just before the rain came down and everything got soaked.
The next day, local children were seen jumping in puddles.
On Tuesday, the Weyburn Salvation Army gave out backpacks to local children.

A peaceful scene one evening at Nickle Lake Regional Park.
Students, staff, and teachers at St. Michael School on Wednesday night got together for a barbeque and an opportunity to bring their school supplies in before the big day of returning to classes.
And on Thursday, Weyburn was focused on safely getting the kids back to school this past week, and we have a number of photos taken at local schools to show just how excited the students and staff were on the first day. Title photo and this one below taken at LPES.
