The U18 AA Aaron Well Servicing Southeast Gold Wings were on home ice in Midale Saturday, entertaining the Western Prairie Aces. The Gold Wings would score a pair of goals in the first period, and added three in the second to go on to a 5-0 victory.  

Katelynn Thackeray led the way for the Gold Wings, opening the scoring at the 7:10 mark of the game. She was assisted on the goal by Lauren Hassler and Beau Chisholm. Then, with 3:23 to go in the first, Presleigh Runge would score on the power play to make it a 2-0 game. Her tally was assisted by Jada Naviaux and Gracie LeBlanc. 

In the second, Thackeray would again open up the scoring, finding the net just 1:25 into the period. Hassler and Chisholm again had the assists on the goal. The Gold Wings would add to the lead at the 8:00 mark of the middle frame as Mckenna Walls scored to make it 4-0. Trista Stadnick had the assist. 

The scoring in the second period, and the game, was rounded out by Chisholm, who beat Prairie Ace netminder Rilyn Roadhouse with 5:13 to go in the period. She was assisted by Walls and Hassler on the goal.  

The shutout was the second of the season for Phoenix Preston-Winder, who is now 5-2-1 on the season. 

The U18 AA Gold Wings, who are two points behind the Regina Rebels for first in the South Division of the SaskFHL, will be back in action on Wednesday. They take on the Notre Dame Hounds in Radville.
