The U18 AAA Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Gold Wings had their season come to an end Saturday night. They were in Regina to face the Regina Rebels in game three of their best of five opening-round playoff series. The Rebels would skate to a 5-1 win, giving them a sweep in the series. 

Regina opened up the scoring in the game with a goal from Jada Johns with 4:08 to play in the opening period. Then, Allee Gerrard opened up the lead to 2-0 with a goal in the second period. Alexis Petford made it 3-0 with a tally with 7:42 to play in the period.  

Just 1:26 into the third, Gerrard scored her second of the game, and then the Gold Wings responded. 

Sydney Dauvin found the back of the net with 10:18 to play in the final regulation period. Her goal was assisted by Paisley Arntsen and Jacey Ziebart.  

Regina would round out the scoring with a goal with 7:24 to play from Nikita Schmidt. 

With the win, the Rebels advance to the next round of the SFU18AAAHL playoffs. They will face the Swift Current Wildcats in the next round.
