The Weyburn Police Service has provided an update on an incident that happened last Monday at a local motel.
Officers were originally called to the motel, on the west side of Weyburn, when staff weren’t able to get a response from a guest in a room. They were concerned due to the lack of a response, as well as the presence of dogs that were in the room.
When the officers gained entry, they discovered the occupant of the room had passed away.
“The matter is still under investigation, so further details are unable to be released at this time, but foul play is not suspected,” Corporal Ryan Cherniawsky with the Weyburn Police Service confirmed with Discover Weyburn.
