Canadian cattle born after 1999 are now able to cross the American border, but American group RCALF are trying to close the border again.

A judicial hearing is set for December 19th to see whether closing the border would be best, but Gerry Ritz, the Federal Agriculture Minister says with the American border opening, other markets should follow including the Mexican and Cuban market.

Ritz adds the USDA came into Canada to audit the system and found that it measured up to their standards meaning the judge has no real reason to close the border again.
