Just in time for Christmas shopping, the Gifted Art Market will be coming to the Weyburn Credit Union Spark Centre on Saturday, November 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Weyburn Arts Council Chair Tasha Hill said it's all hands on deck, which is why they have put out a call for volunteers for the event.

"The great thing about this is we will be partnering volunteers with our Arts Council members so people can get a really great idea of the Arts Council as well as the event," she said. 

Hill noted that, "any volunteering that happens with the Weyburn Arts Council definitely qualifies for students at the Weyburn Comprehensive School for their volunteer hours requirements."

"We will take volunteers in any capacity. We recognize that people have a lot of stuff going on and if you're able to donate even an hour a year, that's fabulous. If you want to donate more, we're absolutely going to take you up on that offer." 

She said volunteering will entail greeting people, and being available to help out with whatever comes up for the volunteer and the Arts Council member with whom they're paired.

"It's our 10th annual Gifted celebration. It's an amazing art market," she added. "There is no fee to get in, but we do collect donations at the door, which help us continue with our programming."
