This week will start off a bit differently from how last week ended, as sunshine and warm temperatures are persisting.

It's unseasonably warm and will stay that way for a while, to the benefit of farmers working on the harvest.

"It does look like it will persist, even into early October," Environment Canada Meteorologist, Terri Lang said. "Good harvest conditions for those who have harvest left, I know it's been a bit delayed in the southeast corner, so perhaps this dry and warm weather will help get it finished. 

Lang said the warmer weather is brought by the system that was also responsible for the rain last week. 

"That's what those big ridges of high pressure do, they bring in that really warm air." 

September is expected to be much drier than average after this week.
