The first cases of West Nile Virus have been confirmed in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan's Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Ross Findlater says three people ... two from the Regina area and one from Yorkton ... have tested positive for the virus.

Dr. Findlater says 80 percent of those who get infected won't have any symtoms. The other 20 percent will get a mild form of the disease that causes a headache and a fever and maybe some muscle pains and a rash that last no more than a week.

He says less than one percent get quite sick with a chance of death.
