The Weyburn Concert Series is bringing in the holiday season with the Ennis Sisters. Hailing from Newfoundland and Labrador, the trio has delighted audiences with their unique harmonies across the globe.

“They started when they were children, and they've done this for 25 years.  I've never seen them in person, but I've listened to them on my phone, and they have incredible harmony, like incredible harmony! And they've performed in big places with very large concerts. So, coming to a place like Weyburn is quite small, but possibly like their hometown places in Newfoundland and things like that. So, we're really looking forward to the concert and hoping that this will just allow people to get into the true holiday spirit by coming out to it,” shared President, Linda Aitken.

The group has an impressive background, receiving a Juno Award as well as multiple East Coast Music Awards (ECMAs) and now Weyburn and area residents can enjoy a Christmas with the Ennis Sisters on Thursday, November 30 at the Cugnet Centre.

Aitken also shared that before the show the Rise Choir from the Weyburn Comprehensive will be performing, a fundraiser for the group to help cover some of its performance costs for its spring tour.

Weyburn Concert Series will also be collaborating with Kids Sport, something they haven’t done since before COVID, concert-goers will be able to grab some sweet treats and water at intermission.

The doors will open at 6:30 p.m., advance tickets can be purchased at Old Fashion Foods or the Weyburn Review, $45 for adults and $20 for youth, tickets will also be available at the door for $50 and $25.
