With the warm spring weather many people are hitting the Weyburn Golf Course for the first time this season.

Superintendent Lauchlan Reeve says they have been open for a few days now.

"We're in full swing right now, especially with the nice weather," says Reeve. "We tried to get open last weekend on Saturday but we had a little bit of rain and the temperatures dipped below zero so we really didn't get going until last Wednesday. We opened up all 18 greens and the golf course is in good shape."

Reeve says the greens are already starting to dry out and they are already beginning to water the grass.

He says they are starting the season almost a month and a half earlier then they were last year, which will hopefully help the Weyburn Golf Club financially.
