Another long-held annual Weyburn tradition will return this year, after not being able to be held for the past two years due to government restrictions.

The Weyburn Kin Club will be holding its Twinkle Tour on December 15th.

Maybe you don't like to look at maps, or maybe you don't have a vehicle big enough to fit everyone in your group. Whatever your reason, you can enjoy all of the best local Christmas lights and holiday decorations on one of two Stagecoach buses, or follow along in your own vehicle.

Jake Porter of the Weyburn Kin Club said they'll be meeting in the parking lot at City Centre mall beginning at 6:30 p.m., with the tour beginning at 7:00.

"We're going to have a hot chocolate and cookies set up so people are welcome to come to the mall and line up in their own vehicles, or they are more than welcome to come on the Stagecoach buses that we have provided for us, courtesy of Stagecoach in town," he shared.

"We will have a map of where we're going to go, and we will take them on a tour around the city to go see the lights that are up."

Porter said he hopes to see lots of people out for the Twinkle Tour.

"Stagecoach was gracious enough to lend us two buses for the evening, so there should be more than enough room for everybody."

"This is purely a community service project. We have done this for many years around town and it's something that we are proud to do every year just for the citizens of Weyburn that support us in all our other projects, and it's just a way of us being able to give back."

He added, "it's been a difficult couple of years in the past and this kind of gets us getting back to normal too, and getting everybody together and in the Christmas spirit for sure."
