The Weyburn Leisure Centre reopens today for public swimming, lane swimming, Red Cross swimming lessons, and aquatic classes.

Registration for fall swimming lessons and classes begins tomorrow.

Program Manager with the City of Weyburn, Tina Clay, said they've added a few more aqua-fitness classes to the schedule this year.

"So we are going to do a morning Aqua Fitness class on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and then we're also doing Monday and Wednesday evenings," she shared. "So this class is actually taught by a virtual instructor, but here at the Leisure Centre. So you can register for this program or you can drop into the program as well."

"We also have the Red Cross swimming lessons, so this is going to be the last time that we offer the Red Cross swimming lessons this fall because the program is done at the end of December and we switch over to the Swim for Life program with Lifesaving Society in January.

Fall programming registration for the WLC opens tomorrow, and the winter program registration opens up on December 13th.

Clay also shared on the City's new daily Leisure Super Pass, which gets you entry into the Weyburn Leisure Centre and the Credit Union Spark Centre.

"This is an all-access pass for drop-in programming at both of these facilities, so this daily super pass gets you in for a public swim, lane swimming, track use, the Mainil Field turf time, and playtime at the MNP Play Centre, as well as other things."

She added patrons can purchase the pass on the day of use.
