On Saturday, July 30, the Weyburn Police Service assisted RCMP with locating a man who was found to have a handgun, crack cocaine, fentanyl, and crystal meth.

"One of our officers recognized an individual that was being sought by the RCMP, and in contacting one of our RCMP counterparts in the partnership that we have with them, they were able to determine that this individual was the one that they were looking for," said Weyburn Police Chief Jamie Blunden.

At around 9:30 p.m. officers entered a business and found a gun and drugs in the man's backpack. He was charged with drug and weapon offences.

He was remanded and held to appear in court.
