The Weyburn Mountain Bikers is offering a new program this summer, for participants aged 10 to 17.

The summer cycling program, which takes place on Tuesdays from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., allows participants to work on their downhill skills and bike maintenance.

“Participants of any skill level are welcome to join,” said Mike Manko-Bauche, founder of the Weyburn Mountain Bikers. “Helmets are mandatory, water bottles are strongly encouraged, and the cost of the summer is $20.”

He added the cost goes toward insurance for participants in the club, and trail maintenance.

The program takes place on July 12, 19, and 26, and on August 9, 16, and 23 at the trails near Heritage Village.

Forms are available at the Weyburn Public Library, or they can be filled out on arrival.

Anyone with questions can contact Manko-Bauche at 306-520-7059, or contact the club on Facebook.
