Weyburn Police dealt with 96 complaints during this past week, including several incidents of mischief on St. Patrick's Day.

On March 17, several cars were damaged when their mirrors were broken off in acts of vandalism. In what appeared to be a related incident, a homeowner was rudely awakened when a street sign was thrown through two panes of their front picture window.

Also on the 17th, a vehicle had its side mirror kicked off while parked in a parking lot. While in another area of the city, the side mirrors on five vehicles were damaged or broken off.

Damage was also done to the chimney of a city-owned building on the 17th, and a school bus and two schools in Weyburn were spray painted with grafitti.

Full Police Report:

March 12:
*Police responded to a domestic dispute, one of the parties left the residence without incident accompanied by the children.
*A Weyburn resident was called and asked to send $1,200 to an address. In return they would receive $3,000,000 back. No funds were sent to the address. Phone scams have become quite common in the Weyburn area and residents are reminded never to forward funds or personal information to unknown sources.
*A vehicle was broken into and a 3G iPhone was stolen out of it, police are investigating the theft.
March 13:
*A small amount of change was taken from an unlocked vehicle.
*A local gas station had a gas drive off in the amount of $40.
March 14:
*Four electric heaters were stolen from an unlocked trailer.
March 15:
*Police responded to an accident in a parking lot. The suspect driver had backed into two parked vehicles, accelerated forward and came to a stop.  A charge of unsafe backing was laid.
*A vehicle drove into the wall of a local business, which in turn pushed into a patron. The patron was transported to hospital and released shortly after with minor injuries.
*A wallet was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle.
*When a resident was contacted by phone and solicited for funds to fix his computer, he gave his credit card number to the company.  After failing to fix the computer, the company attempted to solicit more funds to send software to fix the computer.  This is a telephone scam and residents are warned to be aware of this occurrence as it has happened many times in the Weyburn area.
March 16:
*Police stopped a vehicle after it disobeyed a stop sign. The driver had been drinking and was issued a 24-hour suspension, he was also charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking after a quantity of marijuana was found as well as two traffic tickets for offences committed.
*Reports of a loud party in the garage of a residence were received. Police responded to the complaint, approximately 60 to 70 kids were asked to leave the garage and area. While dealing with the party, additional complaints were received.  A ticket for noisy party was issued under the bylaw.
*A complaint of a noisy party was received from a different residence. The homeowner was warned about the noise.
March 17:
*Several cars were damaged when their mirrors were broken off in acts of vandalism. In what appeared to be a related incident, a homeowner was awakened when a street sign was thrown through two panes of a front picture window. Investigation into the vandalism and mischief is ongoing.
*A vehicle had its side mirror kicked off while parked in a parking lot.
*Damage was done to the chimney of a city owned building.
*Culprit(s) spray painted graffiti on a school bus and two schools.
*The side mirrors on five vehicles were damaged or broken off in another area of the city.
March 18:
*Police issued a noisy party warning to a homeowner.
*Two people had an altercation at a bar.  One person left the area on his own, police escorted the other person to his residence, no charges were laid.
*Fire and Police personnel assisted EMS with a male that was having breathing problems.
*One person voluntarily left a residence after police attended a domestic dispute.

There were 96 complaints during this reporting period.
