The South Sask Lacrosse League held their championship tournament on the weekend for the 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U age groups, and the Weyburn Thrashers were there in all four age groups.

The 16U Panther Drilling Thrashers made it to the championship game, where they were up against the Regina Snipers. The Snipers would come out on top 7-3, and the Thrashers came back with a silver medal.

In the 14U age group, the Weyburn Young Fellow Thrashers would be up against the Moose Jaw Mustangs. The Mustangs would come away with the victory in the championship game by a final of 10-5, meaning a silver medal for the Thrashers.

The 12U Weyburn Security Thrashers would come back from the championships with a bronze medal, after finishing with a record of 2-2. The 10U Weyburn Credit Union Thrashers would come up short in their games and were eliminated from the medal round.

The teams will now get set for provincials, which are set to start on July 5th in Moose Jaw.
