With the snow we've been getting the last few days, it's been a welcome site for farmer's in the Southeast.

 

Cropping Management Specialist Dale Risula at the Ag Knowledge Centre says most are hoping we get a LOT more snow this winter, saying there is a number of weeks of winter left in Saskatchewan and with the unpredictability of Saskatchewan weather, snow can happen at any time.

Most southern Saskatchewan farms are lacking snow cover right now.

Snow cover is not only needed for moisture but, for cover on fall seeded crops.
