The Weyburn Wildlife Federation is kicking off the hunting season with its annual pancake breakfast on Saturday morning.

The event will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at their clubhouse, just south of Weyburn on Highway 35.

“Everyone is welcome to come to breakfast,” President Larry Olfert said. “We will have a good time visiting, talking about hunting, and other activities.”

Olfert said they have the option of holding the event inside the clubhouse this year.

“Last year there were a lot of people, it was really good. Last year with COVID, we did it outside in the gazebo, and we might do that this year if it’s really nice out, but we have the option to go inside.”

The cost of breakfast is $5 per person. There will also be a 50/50 raffle for anyone interested in taking part.
