In time for fall, Community in Action Facing Addiction is ready to kick off its first meeting of the season. Dedicated volunteer, Susan Adderley shared that while the group has been created for support it has also been formed to help remove stigma.

“If you have a friend or family that's struggling with some sort of addiction, this group is for you. We absolutely understand how you feel because we've all been there, and we just want you to know that you do not have to suffer alone, there is no shame and no judgment.”

Members of the group have expressed that having a secure space for discussing their challenges and gaining insights into the cycle of addiction has fostered a sense of healing.

In addition to group support, Susan extends an invitation for you to reach out to the 24/7 confidential prayer line at 1-855-777-2005. This prayer line is staffed by dedicated volunteers. If your call goes unanswered, they kindly request that you leave a message, and someone will promptly return your call.

This month’s meeting is set to kick off at 7 PM at the Weyburn Public Library on Wednesday, September 20. For those who would rather join through Skype the meeting ID number is: 896-311-0631 and the passcode is: CI AAD23.

The lifesaving Narcan kits are available free of charge by calling Denise at (306)891-9800 or Janelle at (306)891-9263.
