A death on the George Gordon First Nation has resulted in two youth being charged with second-degree murder.

RCMP from the Punnichy detachment, along with EMS, responded to a call about an injured person on the First Nation Wednesday evening. When they arrived, they found 37-year-old Glenn Worme. He was declared dead at the scene. The investigation determined his death to be suspicious, and Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes became involved in the investigation.

As a result of the investigation, two teen males have been charged with second-degree murder. They cannot be identified due to provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The two made their first appearance in Wynyard Provincial Court on Friday.
