It was a busy night on the diamonds, with bantam baseball, and fastball action for a number of Weyburn teams.

Bantam Blue Jays

The Bantam Blue Jays took on Grenfell last night. The game lasted just five innings, with Weyburn coming away with a 14-5 victory.

Dylan Birnie had the start on the mound and pitched for four innings before Colby Sorenson came on to finish the game in relief.

One of the highlights of the game was a bases-clearing double from Ethan Petersen.

Bantam AAA Beavers

The Bantam AAA Whitecap Beavers were on the road in White City last night to play the White Butte Broncos. It would be the Broncos who came out on top, though, coming away with a 15-1 victory.

The Bantam AAA Beavers return to action tonight. They host the Regina White Sox on Diamond #1 at Jubilee Park, with first pitch at 6:15 p.m.

Fastball

It was a full schedule in the Borderline Ladies’ Fastball League last night, with all eight teams in action.

The Weyburn Shehawks were in Ogema, where they took on the Pangman Peaches. The Shehawks came away with a 16-11 victory.

The Weyburn Queen Bees played host to the Odessa Country Steelers at the fastball diamonds at Tom Laing Park. The Queen Bees won the game with a 16-3 final.

The Weyburn White Lightning travelled to Ceylon to face the Devils. It would be the home team picking up the win with a final score of 3-1.

The Knockouts took on the Fillmore Foxes in Midale. The Foxes routed the home team, winning by a score of 26-5.
