The Pee Wee AA Young Fellow Wings were in Saskatoon on the weekend, playing in the Sask Challenge Cup, a pee wee tournament featuring teams from across western Canada. The Wings would finish the round robin with a record of 1-1-1, and took an early exit on Sunday, falling in the C-side semi-finals.

They opened the tournament against the West Central Wheat Kings Friday morning. The Wheat Kings would skate away with a 7-3 victory over the Wings. Conner Kerr had a hat trick for Weyburn in the game.

Friday evening, the Wings took on the Saskatoon Fury. The two teams would skate to a 4-4 tie. Silas Stein, Carter Gervais, Kaden MacLean and Keegan Ksenych all scored for the Wings in the match-up.

The round robin finished up Saturday morning, as the Wings took on the Yellowknife Wolfpack. Weyburn notched their lone win in the round robin, edging past the team from Yukon 6-5.

Silas Stein scored twice in the win, with Keegan Ksenych, Brennan Brown, Cruz Klapak and Sam Mallory scoring.

The Wings found themselves taking on a familiar foe in the C-side semifinals, the Yorkton Terriers. The Wings were unable to score, though, as the Terriers dominated Weyburn, winning 6-0.

The Wings will be back in action on January 12th. They head to Swift Current for a pair of games.
