Some big news coming from the Saskatchewan Roughriders today, as it looks like they'll be losing another integral member of their team south of the border.

Shocking news breaking late in the afternoon that Head Coach and GM Chris Jones is leaving the team to join the Cleveland Browns of the NFL. The move comes with a bit of shock after the organization released their staff for 2019, with Jones handling coaching, GM and VP of football operations duties. He also signed a two-year contract extension last week.

The 2018 CFL Coach of the Year had made strides in his three seasons with the Riders, but his roster still has a lot of talent. However, it's safe to say the 2019 version of the Roughriders will have a much different look to them.

Star receiver Jordan Williams-Lambert has also been released by the green and white to pursue NFL opportunities.

The CFL's West Division Rookie of the Year amassed 764 yards on 62 catches, to go along with four touchdowns. With a relatively young and inexperienced receiving corp, Williams-Lambert had established himself as a reliable target in the Riders passing attack.

His breakout season earned him a look from some clubs in the States and it's reported he'll be signing a contract with the Chicago Bears.

Saskatchewan does retain his rights should he return for the 2019 CFL season.

He joins linebacker Sam Eguavoen as members of last year's squad to be let go, in an attempt to crack an NFL roster.
