The atom AA Panther Drilling Wings were in Brandon for a tournament on the weekend, where they finished up with a 2-2 record in the round robin.

They opened with a win Friday, doubling up on the Regina Panthers 6-3. Owen Istace and Andon Hoff scored twice each, with Conner Kerr and Nathan Peterson adding singles.

In their second game Friday, the Wings routed the Minot Wolves 8-0. Eight different players scored for Weyburn, as Hoff, Silas Stein, Kerr, Peterson, Istace, Carter Gervais, Calder Brown and Samuel Mallory all found the back of the net.

Saturday morning, the Wings suffered their first loss of the weekend, falling 8-3 to the River East Royals. Vlad Szczecinski, Justin Whitrow and Istace scored for the Wings. In their afternoon game, another setback, as the Lumsden Lions held off the Wings to win 4-3. Istace scored twice in the losing effort, while Nolan Zelyck also scored.

The Wings now prepare for the playoffs, which open near the end of the month. Their opponents and the dates have yet to be determined.
