The Bantam A Knight Dodge Wings are off to the next round of the playoffs. They picked up a 5-1 win over Prairie Storm Lightning Wednesday night, giving them a series win in two straight games.

The Wings came out firing and took the lead just past the halfway mark of the first period. Donavin Mellon scored the opening goal, assisted by Karston Geiger and Greysen Goudy, with 8:53 left to play in the first period. Evan Barsness then made it 2-0 Weyburn with a goal with 1:49 on the clock. He was assisted by Chase Dennis.

In the second period, the Wings continued to add to the lead. Goudy scored with 3:41 left to play in the period. Darien Herlick assisted the goal. Herlick then scored a goal of his own with 1:33 left to play, assisted by Goudy and Sutter Balog.

Prairie Storm broke the shutout early in the third period Dylan Schoenroth scored just 1:10 into the third period. It would be too little, too late for Prairie Storm, though.

Weyburn would add one more goal as Goudy scored his second of the night with 6:20 to play in the third.

The Wings will now prepare for the next round of the playoffs. They will be taking on the Regina Shamrocks in a series which opens Friday night in Regina. Game two of the series will be played in Weyburn. The date has yet to be determined.
